Skills Management

Skills Management is the practice of understanding, developing and training people and their desired skills and/or goals. Well-implemented skills management should identify the skills that are needed to achieve a set of specified goals that the individual seeks, and implement a strategy to bridge the gap between the two.

To be most useful, skills management must be an ongoing process, where individuals are assessed and update their achievements regularly. These updates or measurements should occur at a specified intervals and communicated clearly back to the member so they know where they stand in terms of their goals.

Whether you teach martial arts, dance, bootcamps and gyms to get in shape, you need a way to organize your skills and goals.

Organize those skills into more long term goals called curriculum’s.

Link those skills to your library of videos whether on Youtube or Vimeo so your members can access anywhere through their portal.

Unless you can measure you can’t determine progress, without progress you no progress and lost another member.

Organize Skills into Curriculum

The fundamental part of any good skills management must start with good organization.

In any instructional setting, a curriculum is the planned interaction of individuals with instructional content, materials, resources, and processes for evaluating the attainment of potential objectives. Curriculum is the learning which is planned and guided, outlines the skills, performances, attitudes, and values individuals are expected to learn from instruction and training. It includes statements of desired outcomes and the planned sequence that will be used to help individuals attain the desired results.

There are different types of skills and goals in the world of fitness, boot-camps, martial arts etc. Soft Skills, technical skills, physical skills, core value skills, personal goals; regardless, our Skills Management module allows for complete customization of your skills.

Organizing your skills into curriculum’s is done with the ease of our Define Curriculum component. Simple pushes on the app will move the skills from the left to the right creating a specific curriculum for a specific skill level. You can create a curriculum with 1 skill or goal or many which can then be organized into test or achievement. The curriculum’s are arranged in a sequence to make learning or attaining a goal easier. For this reason, a curriculum can span levels which in turn makes level management an important part of progressing through curriculum’s.
